Fabulous day out with great commentary from Bertie and skilful bus driver, Connor. Lovely to be with a small group in a very comfortable bus. Well paced day with time for comfort and photo stops. Scenery was incredible. I would have liked a little time in Doolin, rather than just driving through by we had to catch the boat. Seeing the Cliffs of Moher from the sea was incredible and the time on Innis Oirr, one of the Aran Islands, was great.

The trip was well-organized, the coach seats were comfortable and we had access to to a restroom and charging ports. Our guide was Rowen and he was very funny and charming and gave us great bits of information and history as we went though the day. I highly recommend booking through this company, I had a great time!

Took the trip solo after a week of work stuff in Dublin and omg it was EPIC. The cliffs are wild—wind nearly knocked my phone outta my hand, lol. Our guide (pretty sure her name was Maeve?) had a whole folder of dad jokes and history bits, so the bus stuff didn’t drag. If you get hangry, bring snacks, cuz we had a lateish lunch stop. Worth it for the views, but my hair will never recover from the wind.

Wow, wow, wow. The cliffs are just unreal in person. Took like 200 pics and none do it justice. Our tour guide (Richard?) was a LEGEND, had us all laughing. Grab a seat on the right side of the bus for the best views.

Visitor tips

  • Windproof layers: The Atlantic winds can change fast, even in summer, so wear windproof jackets instead of just thick sweaters.
  • Rain-ready camera: Carry a waterproof pouch for phones or cameras because the mist from the cliffs often feels like sideways rain.
  • Off-season perks: Visit between November and February for quiet trails, cheaper stays, and dramatic winter waves hitting the cliffs.
  • Sunset spot: Head toward O’Brien’s Tower for the best sunset view, where golden light hits both cliffs and Aran Islands.
  • Midday laze: Afternoons can bring sea fog that limits visibility; check webcams before traveling to avoid whiteout conditions.
  • Stay grounded: Avoid cliff edges even on calm days because the grass can be slippery from dew or spray, especially after rain.
  • Bird season: From April to July, bring binoculars to spot puffins nesting in cliff crevices below the visitor platform.
  • Layered Footwear: Bring waterproof hiking shoes in winter months; the cliff paths can get muddy and uneven after rain.
  • Local weather apps: Use Ireland’s Met Éireann app instead of generic weather sites. The conditions at the cliffs change minute to minute!
